Afshana Haque, MA, LMFTA         License # 201198  

Afshana Haque is the director and head therapist of our organization. She has recieved her Master's degree at University of Houston-Clear lake in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently working on her Doctoral Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.

Afshana has given talks and presentations at the Texas Dawah Convention, ISNA: Islam in American Conference, and The American Association for the Advancement of Science Southwestern and Rocky Mountain Division: Science-The Key to the Past, Present, and Future. Her most recent publications include:  A Systematic Research Synthesis of the Various Adaptive Strategies Utilized by Dual-Income Couples, as well as The Applicability of the Locke-Wallace Marital Adjustment Test to the Muslim Population.

Her past clinical experience include working at DePelchin's Children Center in Houston, TX, in 2005 as well as AIGB Diagnostics for a bariatric surgical group in San Antonio, TX in 2007.  Afshana is curently working at Methodist Hospital as a counseling intern on the chemical dependency unit, child and adolescent unit, intensive out patient as well as with refugee resettlement program.
